What is DHA?Updated 4 months ago

DHA (Dixhydroxyacetone) is the active tanning ingredient found in most self tanners and is a chemical that is responsible for changing the colour of the skin. The DHA that Luna Bronze uses is natural and is primarily derived from sugar beets and sugar canes and it works by interacting with the amino acids on the outer layer of your skin.

The tan produced by self tanning products will last until the dead skin cells rub off, usually within 5-7 days after a single application.

DHA has been FDA approved for use in self tanning products, for external use only.
